The death toll in an explosion at a coal mine in the Kozlu district of the Turkish province of Zonguldak has risen to eight, TRT Haber TV channel reported on Monday, says Trend.
The cause of the explosion was an accumulation of methane.
At the moment, work is underway to rescue the remaining miners, who are under the rubble.
