Liutenant Vahab Shehabov of the Investigations Department of Khasavyurt district of Dagestan is murdered in Batayurt village.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic told Itar-Tass news agency, that " Thursday evening, unidentified men, opened fire presumably from two submachine guns, on the investigator's car, when he was returning home from service. More than 120 bullet holes in the car were recorded later on" in the police report. Police officer died from multiple wounds on the way to the hospital.
The criminals left the crime scene in a white Lada Priora car. 7,62 mm and 5,45 mm caliber cartridge cases were found at the scene. A police search operation yielded no immediate results.
