Over 100 police officers have enforced the patrols of Nevinnomyssk in the Stavropol Territory due to unsanctioned demonstrations organized by the local population, Interfax-South reports.

The first demonstration happened in Nevinnomyssk at the city administration on December 15. New protests started on December 22 with 37 people detained.
Col. Mikhail Chernikov is supervising a group of the Main Directorate of the Interior Ministry of the region which instructed the local officers. He noted that the demonstrations will be studied to see if there were purposeful provocations.
