Georgian MPs urge patriarch to abstain from harming country

Members of the United National Movement of Georgia Sergo Patiani and Zurab Japaridze have published a note to Patriarch Ilia II to abstain from harming Georgian interests, Georgia Online reports.

Commenting on the patriarch’s visit to Russia, they disagree with the statement that called the events in South Ossetia in 2008 the “fault of certain politicians”.
