Azerbaijani helicopter raised from Caspian Sea

 

Divers have lifted the bodies of the Mi-17 that had crashed near Shikhovo, not far from Baku, Trend reports.

Bodies of Captain Yashar Mail oglu Ahmedov, Lieutenant Rustam Gulgusein oglu Rustamov and Lieutenant Bahruz Nowruz oglu Zeynalov have been found.

Investigators believe that the helicopter crash was caused by dense fog.

Modernization of Mi-8 in 1980 resulted in creation of the Mi-8MT, also known as Mi-17, with two TVZ-117 engines and an auxiliary thrust system. It has a crew of 3 and may carry up to 24 passengers.
