Armenia is concluding the national program for training staff of electoral commission for the presidential polls of February 18, Trend reports.
16,000 people were involved in the program, OSCE representative in Yerevan Andrey Sorokin said.
The project is part of the OSCE program for improvement of efficiency of electoral processes in Armenia. It was organized by the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia, International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES). The European Union expects Armenia to organize elections according to international standards, as stated by EU representative to Armenia Trajan Hristea.
Special attention is paid to processing and vote-counting, identification of voters and validation of ballot sheets.
