NATO concludes missile deployment in Turkey

NATO has concluded Patriot missile deployment in Turkey’s Gaziantep.

Turkey requested the missiles of NATO in the second half of November 2012 for protection from Syria. The missiles were granted on December. The US, Netherlands and Germany provided two missile systems each. The ones from the Netherlands were deployed in Adana, the German ones in Kahramanmaras.

Russia believes that the missiles are a prelude to invasion of Syria.

Turkish Lieutenant-Colonel Darius Kacperzhik said that the missiles will only be used on the order of Germany, on NATO’s coordination.
