Two junior sergeants of police of the Kirovsky District of Makhachkala and two unidentified figures are suspected of a fraud scheme, RIA Dagestan reports.
According to investigations, the four were demanding 150,000 rubles to close inexistent cases from December 2012 to January 2013. They would come up to people and say that a student of the Makhachkala branch of the MSOU reported sexual harassment.
One of the victims of their fraud reported about the officer to the local FSB directorate. One of the officers was detained on the Street of Engels, 39, in Makhachkala at 6.45 pm on January 31, 2013. The officer was caught receiving 50,000 rubles he demanded the victim to pay.
