Tehran has started a fight against rat infestation. Poison and chemicals are no longer effective against the rodents. 10 sniper groups are patrolling 26 districts to kill rats, Rosbalt cites Ismail Kahram, an advisor of the Tehran municipality for environmental protection.
Snipers have killed a total of 2,205 rats. There are forty times more rats in the city.
