An unidentified assailant has opened fire at Nikolai Nesterenko, Chieftain of the Anapa Cossack Forces and a candidate for Mayor of the city, this morning, RIA Novosti reports.
Nesterenko’s driver Victor Zhuk arrived to pick up the chieftain. A man opened fire at them using 7.62mm bullets. Nesterenko was wounded twice.
A criminal case was initiated by the police of the Krasnodar Territory.
