Around forty Russian tourists, who got stuck in Dubai International Airport over the lack of visas, successfully underwent passport control, a spokeswoman for the Russian federal tourism agency, Irina Shchegolkova, told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
“The situation has been settled. Tourists received visas and now get their luggage,” she said.
Forty tourists spent the night and half of Sunday at the airport over this incident.
This has been already second such incident over the past 24 hours in the United Arab Emirates.
“Yesterday the first group of tourists from Russia, who also had no visas, found themselves in a similar situation. Today this is the second group. Their tourist company is Natalie Tours,” Shchegolkova said.
She emphasized that the tour operator is responsible for the situation tourists found themselves in.
Natalie Tours had done everything possible to resolve the situation.
