Militant leader Adam Khuchulayev has been killed in a special operation in Chechnya, Interfax cites Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
The police were searching for remains of the gang of Gakayev’s in the Vedensky District. A militant identified as Khuchulayev was encountered and refused to surrender. He was part of the gang of Muslim and Hussein Gakayevs. The killed militant had been a candidate for becoming the leader of the remaining militants.
