MSU History Faculty to discuss elections and stability of South Caucasus

The History Faculty of the Moscow State University of M.V. Lomonosov will host a science conference entitled “South Caucasus: New Political Realities. Economy, Security, Humanitarian Field” on April 4, 2013. The North-South Center for Political Analysis and Vestnik Kavkaza support the conference. Attendants of the talks will discuss tendencies and prospects of South Caucasus in the light of economic, political and social processes.

Azerbaijan and Georgia will have presidential polls in 2013. Armenia had elections a little over a month ago and the new policy of re-elected President Serzh Sargsyan is forming. The three states have achievements and face common challenges. The main ones concern security and socio-economic stability. Georgia needs stability of domestic policy. Russia plays a big role in each of the states.

Poiliticians, economists, specialists of regional and international security, experts and scientists of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia and mass media officials are welcome to join the conference.

The round-table conference will be held on at First Academic Building (Shuvalovsky Building) at the Science Council Hall of the History Faculty of the MSY on the fourth floor, room A 417-418 on April 4, 2013, at 10.00 am.
