The Stavropol Regional Court has rejected the lawsuit of lawyer Murad Musayev against the regional government regarding hijabs a school and uniforms, Interfax reports.
School uniforms were adopted on October 31, 2012. Muslim girls were prohibited to wear hijabs, according to their religious traditions. Parents of Muslim girls in the Neftekumsky District complained in October 2012 that their children were not allowed to study in hijabs.
Russian President Vladimir Putin talked about the need to respect religious feelings on October 18.
