North Ossetia ex-officer fined for demanding bribe

Former police officer David Alborov has been ordered to pay a fine of 10.5 million rubles for demanding a bribe of 150,000 rubles in North Ossetia, the local directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee reports.

The Mozdok Police Station received a report on a missing teenager in August 2011. Two women were detained. The officer demanded them to pay 150,000 rubles or get sentenced for kidnapping the teenager.

Alborov received 20,000. Nakonechnikov, head of the section for police security of the Interior Ministry, was caught receiving 50,000 the next day.. Alborov was put on the wanted list.
