UNDP praises Kazakhstan

 

Astana is hosting a forum on human development of Eastern Europe and Central Asia in 2013. A global report on human development was presented.

Director of the UNDP regional center Oliver Adam noted that Kazakhstan was improving, boosting economy.

Ami Gaye, head of the UNDP department for human development, said that Kazakhstan had an average indicator for human development of 1.1% in the past 10 years. Kazakhstan was on the 17th position out of 122.

Kazakhstan needs to improve life expectancy and birth rate.
