The Russian air base at the Ebebuni Airfield will open for visitors to mark the Day of Cosmonautics, RIA Novosti cites Liana Azoyan, spokeswoman of Rossotrudnichestvo.
Officials of the Armenian Defense Ministry, the 102nd Russian military base in Gyumri, FSB border guards, diplomats, officials from Russian and Armenian enterprises, Russian compatriots, students and pupils will visit the airfield.
The airfield in Erebuni is part of the CIS joint missile defenses. The base made about 800 flights in 2012. Mig-29 pilots had over 500 combat simulations.
