Tverskoi court arrests accused in attack on Natalia Barshchevskaya

Tverskoi district court in Moscow today sanctioned the arrest of Aslan Avhadov, the accused in the case of the attack on Natalya Barshchevskaya, daughter of the envoy of the Russian government to the higher courts, Mikhail Barshchevsky. The court granted the petition of the investigation and Avkhadiev will remain in custody until June 14.The car in which Barshchevsky's daughter Natalia and her husband Cyril Meshcheryakov were driving was fired at in early July 2011 in Moscow. The two passengers were not injured. Police detained a suspect, Parviz Yasinov, but the case against him was dropped due to lack of evidence.
