Alcohol to return to the beaches of Stavropol

This May the government of Stavropol Territory will remove restrictions on the sale of alcohol in parks and recreational areas, a year after the introduction of the prohibition, the chairman of the Regional Committee for Food Processing Industry Andrew Hlopyanov says.The decision by the regional government of July 2012 banned the retail sale of alcohol in cafes and restaurants located in cultural institutions, as well as in recreational areas. In April 2013 the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service filed a case against the law, arguing that the decision may violate the federal laws "On Protection of Competition" and "On Regulation of Commercial Activities"."We've got to eliminate the FAS conflicts with federal law. Amendments to lift some restrictions have been prepared, and sent for approval to take effect in May," RIA News quotes Hlopyanov.
