Russian legislators have scrapped the idea of adding an article on violation of believers’ feelings, Interfax cites Yaroslav Nilov, head of the committee for public associations and religious organizations.
The punishment for such violations would have been fined with 300,000 rubles, or a violator’s wage of 2 years, or sentenced to compulsory community service for 240 hours, or compulsory community service for up to a year or a year in prison.
