Oil worth 200 million rubles stolen in Russia’s south

 

Over 15,000 tons of oil worth over 200 million rubles was stolen from pipelines and storage facilities in Kalmykia and the Astrakhan Region. About 30 people are suspected of the theft, RIA Novosti reports.

29 people have been detained. They were processing the oil at illegal facilities, producing fuel worth over 20 million rubles every month and selling it at their network of petroleum stations.

About 20 searches were organized in their apartments. Containers with 550 tons of oil and five containers with petroleum were found.
