Pavel Milovanov, head of the inquest section of the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry in Moscow, says that one out of every five murders is the city is committed by migrants, RIA Novosti reports.
Migrants have committed 2,300 crimes this year, exceeding the same period in 2012 by 30%.
There have been 12 murders, 17% of total murders, committed by migrants in Moscow since the start of the year. The migrants include natives of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Moldova and Kyrgyzstan.
