A nine-page protocol of the first hearing of Jokhar Tsarnayev’s case has been published. Tsarnayev was charged for using weapons of mass destruction. He will remain under arrest until the next hearing on May 30. Assistant prosecutor William Weinreb said that the suspect may get execution and a fine of $250,000, RIA Novosti reports.
The suspect was unable to talk due to his neck injury and could only communicate with gestures. He explained that his older brother Tamerlan was the organizer of the terrorist attack to protect Islam, with no terrorist organizations involved.
Tamerlan Tsarnayev is notable for ruining preaching at the Massachusetts Cambridge mosque on November 16, 2012, and January 18, 2013.
The FBI will conclude studies of about six quarters of the Boston center. A memorial will be built at Copley Square at Boylston and Berkeley Street.
The governor said that fund will be created to help families recover from the tragedy. About 50 people remain in hospital.
