MiG-31 crashes in Kazakhstan

 

A MiG-31 interceptor crashed in the Karaganda Region of Kazakhstan at 10.41 pm on April 23, 2013, RIA Novosti reports.

Crew commander Col. Marat Yedigeyev died, Maj. Ruslan Galimzyanov was hospitalized.

The jet was repaired at the 514 aviation factory in Rzhev in December 2012 and had 42 hours of flight.

The jet made three flights during the day and one during night.
