Ramzan Kadyrov says Caucasians live comfortably in Russia

The head of Chechnya said that the natives of the North Caucasus republics live comfortably in Russia, and that they should become a model of behaviour in any society, and should not follow the example of an athlete who did not get up when the national anthem was played during a live broadcast of the "The Iron Lady" show on the NTV channel. Responding to the question of whether he would like to see Chechnya independent, Kadyrov said that Chechnya was an integral part of Russia."No, of course not! And we'll appreciate, cherish and multiply this choice," he said.According to Kadyrov, Caucasians and Muslims today feel themselves to be equal citizens in Russia."Muslims, Caucasians live comfortably in Russia. All conditions are created for us. Those who want to pray, should pray. Those who want to, should go to the mosque. And those who want to should study Islam. We, Chechens, Caucasians, have no other fatherland," he said. Commenting on an incident which occurred earlier during the competition in Stavropol, when an athlete did not stand up while the Russian anthem was performed, the head of the Chechen Republic said that a lack of respect for the symbols of the country is unacceptable."At the time, the Prophet Muhammad trusted the flag to the strongest and most God-fearing. If someone does not appreciate the flag, emblem and anthem - he is not a man. And may Allah make sure that such an incident is never repeated. A Caucasian man should be an example for all," he said.
