The Moscow City Court will announce the sentence of Yusup Temerkhanov for murder of Col. Yuri Budanov, an officer who kidnapped and murdered a Chechen girl, RAPSI reports.
Judge Andrey Korotkov will announce the verdict on May 7. Temerkhanov may get 16 years of prison.
Budanov was killed on the Komsomolsky Avenue in June 2011. Temerkhanov shot him 8 times as revenge for murder of his father in Chechnya in 2000.
Budanov was sentenced to 10 years of prison for the kidnapping and murder in July 2003, losing his rank and awards. He was released in January 2009.
