Refugees start gunfight with Turkish police at Turkish-Syrian checkpoint
Shots were fired between Syrian refugees and Turkish police today at the Syrian-Turkish checkpoint Akçakale in Sanliurfa.It is reported that a group of Syrian refugees, who were refused entrance to Turkey because of problems with documents, opened fire on police and border guards. As a result seven people were injured, including three policemen, two soldiers and two civilians, Turkish Sabah writes.Extra ambulances and additional security forces were sent to the scene.
