The Azerbaijani State Fund for Social Support has granted 700 manats of support to 25208 veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, widows of veterans and home front veterans with orders and medals, Trend reports.
2201 of them took part in the war.
300 manats were granted to people taking part in operations of the Navy, veterans with medals for Leningrad defense and people who had suffered from the Leningrad blockade. A total of 23007 people received the aid.
Azerbaijan has the highest volume of aid in the CIS, granted to veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
