Chechnya honors its first president Akhmad-Hadji Kadyrov

Members of the government and parliament of Chechnya, religious leaders, heads of municipalities, as well as thousands of residents and visitors from neighbouring areas visited the grave of the first President of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia, Akhmad-Hadji Kadyrov in the village of Tsentaroy.Chechen Prime Minister Abubakar Edelgeriev, parlamentarian Adam Delimkhanov, Head of the Government Administration Mohammed Daoud, city of Grozny mayor Islam Kadyrov and many other officials were among the visitors to Kadyrov's grave. Khasmagomed Kadyrov greeted everybody, and a prayer was said."The cause of Akhmad-Hadji lives on and will be passed on from generation to generation. He led his people on the righteous path, the path of peace and creation. The transformation of our republic is a proof of that. The truth, for which he fought and gave his life, has defeated the evil and triumphed. In 2000, Akhmad-Hadji said he wants the war to stop once and for all, so that our country could live a normal life, like other regions of Russia. He said that mosques will be opened, people will live in peace and work. And so it happened," Mufti Sultan Mirzaev said.Dukuvakha Abdurahmanov in his speech said that the cause of Akhmad-Hadji was immortal. "Today the whole country is celebrating Victory Day. And we celebrate this day too in a peaceful and prosperous country. This is due to the fact that we have in our nation heroes such as Akhmad-Hadji Kadyrov and other worthy sons who have given their lives for their country," he added.Khasmagomed Kadyrov thanked all those who came to honour the memory of Akhmad-Hadji Kadyrov: "I thank you all for sharing with us the pain of this loss".
