The Dagestani police say that information published by blogger Zakir Magomedov, according to which a local bus station in Makhachkala is used for slave trading, is a provocation. The blogger wrote on Monday that at the station a male slave can be bought for 15 thousand roubles and a female one for 150 thousand roubles, RIA Novosti informs.
"This information is probably a provocation, but we started an investigation into the case," the news agency cites a representative of the republic's law-enforcement agencies as saying.
