Police have prevented a terrorist attack in the Elbrus region of Russia's North Caucasus republic of Kabardino-Balkaria. Explosive experts defused a bomb in a residential area in the city of Tyrnyauz, RIA Novosti reports, citing local police.
The bomb was packed with projectiles and was equal to 1.5 kg of TNT. It was to be detonated by remote control and was aimed against civilians, experts say.
