A dam on the Urup River in the Urupsky District of Karachay-Cherkessia broke at 6.50 am today, leaving 4,500 people without water, RIA Novosti reports.
Muddy water entered the lake supplying 3287 people and 7 social facilities with water in Pregradnaya and 1185 people and 5 social facilities in Mednogorsky. Water will be supplied in containers until the dam is fixed.
