Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov’s pages on LiveJournal (LJ), Twitter and Instagram are of interest to 200,000 internet users, ITAR-TASS reports.
Kadyrov returned to LJ after April. His blog http://ya-kadyrov.livejournal.com/ acquired over 3,000 subscribers in two weeks. It became one of the top 1,000 most popular blogs of the Russian internet, with about 10,000-30,000 readers daily.
Magomed Naurbiyev, head of the section for information technologies of the Chechen Ministry for National Policy, Press and Information, said that Kadyrov inspired other Chechens to open accounts.
Muslim Khucchiyev, Kadyrov’s assistant, said that the Chechen leader’s involvement in social networks started from Instagram, a website he learned about from friends. He has over 130,000 readers on the website.
Kadyrov opened a blog on Twitter after that. The need for more detail and analysis inspired Kadyrov to open an LJ account.
Lyoma Gudayev, Deputy Minister for National Policy, Information and Press, said that Kadyrov had formed the Chechen Ministry for Collaboration between the Government and the Public.
