A criminal case was initiated against Murat Gunajokov, head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry in Adygeya, for a housing fraud, Yuga.ru reports.
A contract was signed with the government on December 20, 2012, to build 30 cottages for the military. Two of them have not been built, while others are unsuitable for residence. Three were built unacceptably close to a fuel warehouse near on the territory of a fire station. The fraud is worth over 860 million rubles.
Kuvayev, the contractor of the construction, was charged to compensate the sum. Gunazhokov refuses to exact the payment from the company.
Investigations resulted in 3 criminal cases initiated against M. Kuvayev, owner of the company named after himself, and officials responsible for hiring the company. The Maikop City Court considers the criminal case against Gunajokov justified.
