Farmers of the Armavir Region of Armenia agreed to open the Armavir-Yerevan Highway only after Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan’s promise today to send their demands to the government on Thursday, a local from Alashkert says.
Heavy hail on May 12 ruined farms in 46 communities of the Armavir Region. Farmers demand the government to compensate their losses and freeze their bank accounts. The protest has continued for over a week.
