Heavy rain of May 19 damaged the Shatoy – Nokhchoy-Keloy road on the 34th km, destroyed the bridge and caused a power cut at the Nokhch-Keloy Village (population of 160) in the Shatoysky District of Chechnya.
The Defense Ministry has delivered enough food for the village to last 10 days. Reconstruction will start as soon as the water level drops.
Ruslan Yakhyayev, head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies in Chechnya, ordered public order two groups of emergency specialists to be sent to the area to prevent fires, maintain order and offer medical aid.
