Trial of Boston blast organizer may start on July 2

Trial of Jokhar Tsarnayev, suspected organizer of the Boston Marathon blast, will start no sooner than on July 2. Judge Marianne Bowler postponed the trial until July, according to a request of Tsarnayev’s lawyer.

Hearings were initially planned for May 30.

Two blasts happened at the finish line of the marathon with an interval of 12 seconds. Three people died and over 260 were injured. Tamerlan and Jokhar Tsarnayev’s (aged 26 and 19) were charged with organizing the blast.

Tamerlan was killed in a shootout with the police a few days after the explosions. Jokhar was injured and remains at a Boston treatment center. He may get execution or sentenced for life. He said that the blasts were revenge for US campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq.
