The World Bank will finance education projects in Azerbaijan, Trend cites Larisa Leshchenko, head of the Baku office of the WB.
The official noted recent progress in Azerbaijani education standards and reminded about the replacement of the test system for people entering higher and specialized education centers.
About 18-19% of school graduates continue studies, which is insufficient even for countries with low income, Leshchenko says. She noted that Azerbaijan wanted to join the high-income group of states and should invest more in technologies.
