Turkish police have seized 4 million fake British postage stamps. Special operations were carried out in the European part of Istanbul. As a result, 11 people have been detained on suspicion of involvement in the production of counterfeit stamps.
The police statement says that the detainees printed fake stamps and then delivered them to the United Kingdom by sea. Nine of those arrested have already been charged with organising criminal groups with the aim of producing and selling fake products, Interfax reports.
