Muslim clerics should demand more Mosques in the Russian regions, Chairman of the Russian Muftii Council Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin says.
The spiritual leader also stressed that Muslim communities should not be secluded but enjoy all legal rights in all cities of Russia.
"The lack of Mosques is obvious and the situation is even changing for the worse," he said at the Second Muslims of Russia conference.
The Sheikh underlined that there are 20 million Muslims in Russia but only 8 thousand Mosques.
