Minsk is hosting the CIS Council of Prime Ministers. Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Tajikistan and Armenia will be represented by prime ministers, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan by vice prime ministers, Turkmenistan by deputy prime minister and Moldova by deputy foreign minister.
Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikov said that President Alexander Lukashenko will meet them personally.
The council will discuss over 30 issues of cooperation in the economic, humanitarian, security, education and science spheres. The protocol on Uzbekistan’s joining the free trade zone of the CIS will become the key event of the meeting.
