The Anonymous have hacked governmental websites of Turkey as part of the #OpTurkey action launched on June 2.
They attacked the governmental website, pages of the Interior Ministry and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Resmi Gazete.
#OpTurkey was launched to support protests started on May 31. The police made harsh crackdowns against the protesters in 67 cities. Over 1700 people have been detained. 58 civilians and 115 police officers were injured. Interior Minister Muammer Guler gave no confirmations.
The disorders in Istanbul started on May 31. People demand the park at the Taksim Square to be preserved. The government plans to build a trade center over it. Other cities, including Ankara, organized protests as well.
