After the arrest of the mayor of Makhachkala, Said Amirov, and his nephew, the deputy mayor of Kaspiysk, Yusuf Dzhaparov, attention has turned to other relatives of the mayor. It turns out that Said Amirov's sons: the head of the Republican administration of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP), Dalgat Amirov, and the chairman of the Committee on Legislation of the State Parliament of Dagestan, Magomed Amirov, are on vacation. This has been reported by representatives of the deputy's office, RIA News reported.
The representative of the Republican administration of the FSSP said that the head of the agency, Dalgat Amirov, went on vacation on Monday and did not specify the date of his return. The office of Magomed Amirov also reported that the deputy is not in the office.
"He's gone, he's on vacation, we do not know when he will come back," the source said.
As reported earlier by Vestnik Kavkaza, Said Amirov, the head of the city of Makhachkala since 1998, was arrested on June 1 and was transferred to Moscow. The official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Vladimir Markin, said that Amirov was detained in relation to an accusation of the murder of the investigator for the Dagestani SC, Arsene Gadzhibekov, in December 2011. According to the investigation,10 more people have been arrested.
The arrested mayor believes that the criminal case against him is politically motivated. "My client categorically denies that he is guilty. He believes political games are being played around him," Mark Kruter, the attorney who represents the mayor, is quoted by Interfax. "New leadership. New struggles. He has crossed the road of many people, he's got a lot of enemies," Kruter said.
