An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 occurred yesterday in Khorasan Province in north-eastern Iran. More than 110 people were injured, one critically, RIA-Novosti reports.
The center of the earthquake was located 7 km under the surface.
50-80% of the buildings in the town of Torbet-Kheideri, the epicentre of the quake, were destroyed. A lot of people remain trapped under rubble.
According to the local geological service data, the shock took place at 18.21 local time.
