Turkish Vice Prime Minister Bulent Arinc has arrived from Ankara and started direct negotiations with a delegation of protesters demanding preservation of the Gezi Park in Istanbul, ITAR-TASS reports.
Oppositionists will meet President Abdullah Gul after talks with Arinc.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is having negotiations abroad.
