Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Ze’ev Elkin arrived in Moscow to discuss the idea of sending Russian peacekeepers to the Golan Heights with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, RIA Novosti reports.
Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Yuval Steinitz called the idea unrealizable.
Israeli Deputy Interior Minister Faina Kirshenbaum is on a visit to Moscow and said that Israel will not resist presence of Russian troops on the Golan Heights.
