Russian minister denies violation of detention norms for Makhachkala mayor

 

Russian Minister of Justice Alexander Konovalov has denied rumours about poor detention conditions of Makhachkala Mayor Sayid Amirov, RIA Novosti reports.

He added that any complaints deserve checking.

Amirov was detained by the Basmanny Court of Moscow for 2 months on June 2 as a suspect accused of organizing Arsen Gajibekov, acting chief investigator of the Sovetsky District of Makhachkala.
