Russia demands extradition of murderer of Dagestani authority from Georgia

The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office will send a request for extradition of Michael Kadyev, a local from Dagestan who is suspected of murder of the head of the Khasavyurtovsky District of Dagestan and planning a terrorist attack in Georgia, Kommersant reports.

Kadyev will most likely return from Georgia after spending his sentence in Tbilisi for illegal storage of weapons and explosives.

Kadyev was detained in Georgia on June 13. He has been on the Interpol wanted list since 2011. He is suspected of killing Alimsoltan Alkhamatov, head of the Khasavyurtovsky District, in Moscow in autumn 2009. His driver was injured, but survived the attack.
