The State Service Agency of Georgia says that 24,000 people in Georgia had no legal citizenship, Georgia Online reports.
The Justice Ministry said that they had citizenship of other states and had not informed the Georgian authorities about those facts. Foreign citizenship means loss of Georgian citizenship, according to the Constitution.
The National Agency of State Service will consider granting them dual citizenship status. The president will decide whether to grant it or not.
