Tbilisi denies request for extradition of Kadiyev to Russia

 

Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani said that no request of Russia to extradite Michael Kadiyev had been received, News Georgia reports.

The official reminded that Georgia and Russia had no diplomatic relations and used Swiss embassies for contacts. Any requests from Russia would be considered by prosecutors.

Kadiyev is suspected of killing head of the Khasavyurtovsky District in 2009. Reports about his extradition request appeared today.
